Through EU projects, we increase the digital literacy of unemployed people
Insufficient digital literacy of the unemployed represents a serious threat to their competitiveness on the labor market and significantly hinders their employment.

During the last week, the Callidus team participated in the second project meeting in Thessaloniki (Greece). of the project "Skill IT” which takes place through the Erasmus+ program. Together with the other six foreign partners from Ireland, Turkey, Spain, the Czech Republic, Greece and Italy, we presented the results of the analysis of digital literacy of unemployed persons. The goal of the "Skill IT" project is to solve this challenge in order to make it easier for unemployed people to find employment. The Callidus team conducted an analysis based on interviews with a total of 30 people, and the results of the survey show that unemployed people in Croatia are mostly insufficiently or below average digitally literate.

In order to solve the problem of insufficient digital literacy of unemployed persons and increased their competitiveness on the labor market, the development of an appropriate educational model for the target groups was proposed. In order to ensure the optimal implementation of the project, the development of the competency table will be preceded by research into the methodology of accessibility for the use of an appropriate educational model. Ultimately, the target group will be enabled acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills and learning outcomes.
The next partnership meeting is scheduled for June. During the next meeting in Trana (Italy) will be held i five-day training for the staff of Callidus as well as for other partners in the project who will continue to conduct trainings in the home countries and thereby help the successful implementation of the project.
