We launched a new ESF project!
A project worth more than HRK 1 million, through twenty new courses in a foreign language, will increase the mobility of graduate students and teachers
The purpose of this ESF project is to internationalize the graduate study of mechanical engineering at the University of the North (UniN) through the preparation of twenty courses in English and to increase the mobility of students and teaching staff. Through the project, intensive work will be done to increase the incoming and outgoing mobility of experts participating in the transfer of knowledge in higher education. The stated goals will be achieved through activities that include improving English language skills at the pre-tertiary and tertiary levels. As part of the project, the translation of six graduate study courses in mechanical engineering is planned, which will enable the horizontal mobility of foreign students between two higher education institutions, which will ensure a sufficient number and variety of courses that students will be able to choose.
This project represents a tool and opportunity for creating better and necessary conditions for increasing mobility at all levels. These conditions will contribute to the increase in the quality of studies through its internationalization, and thus indirectly to the entire economy of the region.
Goals and expected results of the project:
- Increasing the mobility of students and teachers through the preparation of twenty courses of the graduate university study of mechanical engineering in a foreign language
- Arrangement of infrastructure for mobility
- Encouraging the outgoing mobility of students and teachers
- Increasing the quality of teaching at the graduate study of mechanical engineering
- Creation of a portal for monitoring classes and information for students and teachers on incoming mobility
- Presentation of project goals to future students at higher education fairs in the Republic of Croatia, the EU and the countries of the region
- Promotion of UniN international mobility abroad (at specialized conferences on higher education)
- Establishing contacts with foreign universities with a long-standing successful tradition of conducting international studies and the quality of student and teaching mobility
