Our new ESF project is worth almost HRK 900 thousand
The new project will be co-financed by the ESF (European Social Fund), and is intended to develop the competencies needed in the labor market.

The new project is aimed at the implementation of an educational program for cleaners, for which, due to the lack of such in the Republic of Croatia, there is a great demand on the labor market. The target group of the project will be the socially sensitive population, of which members of national minorities and people over 50 years of age stand out, for whom lack of competence is a major obstacle in obtaining a job. Callidus – Institution for adult education as the project leader, together with partners, will offer the target group the opportunity to acquire education with the aim of increasing their competences and knowledge, and thus greater opportunities for employment.
Goals and expected results of the project:
- Conducted a radio campaign with the aim of raising public awareness of this profession
- Developed and verified training program for a cleaner
- Conducted informational and motivational workshops
- An employment club was founded for the purpose of further promoting and motivating the educational process (motivational workshops, workshops for professional guidance, creating CVs, group individual counseling of unemployed people)
- Created teaching materials for the implementation of the program
- Educated 41 unemployed persons of vulnerable population group in 2 iterations
- Conducted a minimum of 120 hours of theoretical and practical classes under the mentorship of experts
- Vulnerable group adapted to the labor market and their competence increased
- Satisfied labor market needs and reduced unemployment rate
- Strengthened socio-psychological values of the target group and achieved the goal of networking with employers
- Establishment of a long-term professional model of cleaners and its promotion and implementation in adult education institutions
