Investing in IT education is an investment in the future
In Belgrade, we participated in the conference "Joint action with the aim of solving the problem of lack of skills: The case of the ICT sector"

At the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the European Foundation for Vocational Training, the Callidus team participated in the conference "Joint action aimed at solving the problem of skills shortages: The case of the ICT sector" in Belgrade.
The European Training Foundation helps partner countries to modernize their education and training systems to enable citizens to acquire the knowledge, skills and other competencies required by dynamic economies and societies. Education and vocational training are considered elements of a unique and complete learning system.
In order to improve the learning system, especially in the IT sector, a conference "Joint action to solve the problem of lack of skills: The case of the ICT sector" was held in October in the Belgrade Science and Technology Park, where numerous partners exchanged experiences in improving lifelong education. The conference was opened by the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević.
Minister Đorđević emphasized that this year alone, 1,000 Serbian citizens will be retrained as IT experts, and considering the needs of the market, it is very likely that everyone will get a job, which will ultimately contribute to reducing the unemployment rate.
International and domestic solutions for improving skills in the ICT sector were presented at the conference, and the Council for Innovative Entrepreneurship and Information Technologies was also presented. This council represents a body for building a partnership for the development of ICT skills with the aim of analyzing specific needs on the market and analyzing institutional cooperation.
The conference was organized by the Council for Innovative Entrepreneurship and Information Technologies, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the European Training Foundation.
