We contribute to gender equality in STEAM

On OTV television, in the show "I am a woman", we talked about the numerous reasons for the insufficient representation of women in STEAM professions and the Erasmus + project Steamy Wonders

Doprinosimo rodnoj ravnopravnosti u STEAM-u

The Steamy Wonders project was created to positively impact the trend of gender inequality by encouraging high school girls to pursue higher education and future careers in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.

As part of the Erasmus + project Steamy Wonders, which is supported by Callidus, interactive infographics were developed as the main communication tool, dedicated to each individual STEAM area, and within which there is a QR code, which can be scanned to access self-learning content adapted to the age group of high school girls. That's how tools like quizzes or online escape rooms by using which the students learn the most important information about individual STEAM areas and by solving them, they discover which of the areas, in relation to their personal characteristics, is closest to them.

In order to approach the problem systematically, as part of the project, a manual for training educators was developed, where it was intended that self-learning tools be used in regular classes as well.

Free access to all materials of the Erasmus + project Steamy Wonders is available within our platform O2 – Education to Sustainability, created as part of the activities that Callidus undertakes as part of the socially responsible project of the same name, which allows all citizens who want knowledge to use all materials created on projects financed from EU funds, on which we work, completely free of charge.
