On Tuesday, February 7, a public holiday by delivery Certificates of training completed the education of the first generation of druggists in Croatia. Fifty unemployed people, eight of whom are disabled, successfully completed the program "Strengthening of competencies for employment in drugstores" which was initiated by the Institution for Adult Education - Callidus in partnership with dm and the Croatian Employment Service, Regional Office Zagreb (HZZ).

The participants got acquainted with details and specifics of the assortment drugstore, basic business processes you the basics of marketing and business communicationPractical part of the lesson took place in dm stores with the mentoring support of sixteen dm employees, the participants got to know first-hand the daily responsibilities of drug store employees.

"The purpose of this project was to create and offer an adequate educational program for potential employees of drugstores, health food stores and natural cosmetics, because such a program did not yet exist on the education market in Croatia. In the time of rapid changes in the trends in the sale of drugstore products, which occur due to the increased awareness of customers about a healthy life, the volume of business and the number of employees in drugstores and stores of healthy products is growing. Through the implementation of the project, we have developed a new educational program for which it has been determined that there is interest, and the acquired knowledge and skills of the participants will encourage new employment," said Carmen Tariba, director of the Adult Education Institution - Callidus.

The project "Strengthening competencies for employment in drugstores" is the first educational program in Croatia aimed at developing a new standard for the drugstore profession according to the Croatian Qualification Framework. Educational program for potential employees of drugstores, health food and natural cosmetics stores, total value HRK 1,051 million, was co-financed from the European Social Fund in the amount of 95%.
