In the last few years, 3D printing has become more popular and affordable. What once seemed unimaginable is now a reality. Various industries are becoming increasingly aware the potential of 3D technologies, home 3D printers are becoming more and more affordable, and printing objects made of plastic, metal and other materials has become a reality that we have to get used to and prepare for.
In order to get quality results and make the best use of advanced technology, it is necessary to acquire certain knowledge and skills. It is not enough to just buy technology, it is also necessary to have qualified experts who know how to make the best use of its possibilities. In order for the economy to use the potential of 3D technologies in the best possible way, it is necessary to educate experts who will know these technologies, their characteristics, and derive the greatest possible benefit from them. This is exactly the goal of the Academy - education of a new generation of experts for 3D technologies.
What does the 3D Academy educational program offer?
The program "3D technology specialist" is an integrated program consisting of 3 specializations: Specialist in 3D optical methods, Specialist in Working with digital 3D models and Specialist in 3D printing technologies.

3D optical measuring methods for measuring shapes and dimensions:

- 3D digitization with an optical 3D scanner
- Advanced 3D scanning methods
- Basics of production metrology
- Processing of digitized data and preparation of measurement reports
- Processing of polygonal networks and preparation for further use
- Automation of 3D scanning
- GD&T – shape and position tolerances
3D optical measuring methods for measuring displacements and deformations:
- Introduction, concept and definitions of photogrammetry
- 3D optical displacement measurement at discrete points
- 3D optical measurement of displacements and deformations on the surface of the object
- processing of measurement results, presentation of measurement results and their interpretation
- digital image correlation in material testing
- comparison of measurement results with numerical simulations
