Goal of a project:

The main goal of the project is to build the human capacity of 5 elementary schools in Croatia to work with gifted students in the areas of active citizenship and entrepreneurship, and through improving the skills and competencies of 75 teachers and other educational staff, as well as creating a teaching model and 4 teaching materials. The areas of entrepreneurship and active citizenship were chosen as topics for work with gifted students due to their importance in the development of a democratic society and insufficient representation in the curriculum of primary schools, especially in less developed, rural areas.
The purpose of the project is to raise the quality of life, education, employment and work of gifted students, through the training of teachers and other educational workers to work with them, and the creation of teaching materials in the areas of active citizenship and entrepreneurship, which will be available for use by others in elementary education.

Main project activities and results:

  • Improved skills and competencies of 50 educational workers in 5 elementary schools in less developed regions to work with gifted students in the areas of entrepreneurship and active citizenship
  • Increased private-public inter-institutional cooperation for the exchange of knowledge and good practices in skills and competencies at the level of basic education in the areas of entrepreneurship and active citizenship.
