3D Academy starts with the first educational program - 3D dental engineer

The signed cooperation agreement between Callidus education and 3D Group established the conditions for the development of numerous educations based on the application of 3D technologies.

For decades, dentists and their related engineers worked in the same way. Taking impressions and making a dental implant was often a long, tiring and expensive process, which made life difficult for dentists as well as patients. Thanks to 3D technology, it is now possible to make a digital impression of a tooth in a significantly shorter time, which shortens the time spent at the dentist and facilitates the faster production of a finished dental implant. The application of 3D technology in the dental industry, due to its precision and the possibility of simpler replication, results quality dental product which is perfectly adapted to the needs of the individual patient. 

In order to enable the wider application of this technology in the dental industry, the first educational session will begin in the fall program for 3D dental engineer. For the first time in Croatia, participants will have the opportunity to acquire skills such as the basics of photogrammetry, acquire knowledge about all the necessary tools and materials, about advanced 3D scanning methods, processing digitized results and 3D modeling in CAD tools. In addition to technical skills, dental engineers will also acquire various personal skills such as effective conflict management, business communication basics, rational cost management and controlling.

With this collaboration, Callidus education confirms itself as an educational institution that recognizes the needs of the modern labor market and creates education oriented towards new knowledge and technologies. 3D Group, thanks to the knowledge and many years of experience in 3D technologies, will provide all the necessary technical tools and top lecturers for the participants of the 3D Academy. This example of successful collaboration on education for a 3D dental engineer is just one of the possible industrial applications of 3D technology.
