Who makes up the Smart Industry Hub (SMIH)?

"Smart Industry HUB" - SMIH is an industrial cluster consisting of over 20 Croatian and Slovenian companies (18 small and medium-sized companies, of which 3 start-up companies and 1 research organization and 1 ecosystem partner).

SMIH gathers more than 40 external experts who provide support for research and development activities in 5 fields of science: natural, technical, biomedical, biotechnical and architecture and construction.

All companies within the HUB are experts in mechanical and electrical engineering, information technology, as well as in the so-called industrial revolution of the fourth generation. The cluster has existed for 10 years and operates under the name "3D Group". With the development of 3D technologies, it was necessary to join forces in order to ensure faster adoption and application of 3D technologies in a relatively small market.

What does the Smart Industry Hub (SMIH) do?

HUB's primary mission is to increase the competitiveness of local and regional industry by promoting the use of 3D technologies in business processes and to provide support and know-how in the following areas:

Providing access to 3D technology and enabling companies to test the technology to solve their problems
Providing quality and structured 3D information related to industry to regional companies and institutions
Ensuring support for the implementation of 3D technologies in the business processes of the regional industry
Digital transformation
Business innovation and strategy development
Prototyping
Education and mentoring
Connecting the regional industry with international partners

What is the goal of the Smart Industry Hub (SMIH)?

The main goal of SMIH is to enable the cooperation of all key stakeholders of HUB who contribute to strengthening the industrial potential and competitiveness of domestic industry. Through this cooperation, we want to develop investments in new technologies, innovative products with export potential and high added value.

HUB identifies the potential of new products, their development and commercialization. SMIH represents a modern technologically advanced "HUB" that provides answers to most questions related to the industry in a broader sense. It also works on research, development and innovation programs and projects of its members.

What Smart Industry Hub (SMIH) offers the market?

HUB has established a regional reference center for 3D technologies, where it has gathered a significant amount of different professional equipment from the field of 3D technologies for use in everyday industrial projects. In this way, the equipment and its capabilities are provided to the regional industry to better recognize its applicability in their business applications.

Also, SMIH offers product development and production opportunities to local small and medium-sized enterprises, and they are accompanied by professional support throughout the entire innovation journey. Finally, SMIH offers digital transformation, development of business innovations and strategies, prototyping, education, mentoring and B2B connection, assistance in the adoption and application of the most modern technologies and trends, support in corporate innovation management and integration into the technological community.

At the same time, SMIH enables young engineers to familiarize themselves with the equipment and gain real work experience.
